Friends of West County Seniors
Serving seniors in the ten west county towns of Ashfield, Buckland, Charlemont,
Colrain, Conway, Hawley, Heath, Plainfield, Rowe, and Shelburne
The ‘Friends’ sponsor a variety of programs and special events which take seniors
out of their homes and into their communities where they can reconnect with
old friends and form new friendships with other seniors. We are working to
respond to the wants and needs of seniors in each town and neighborhood.
Current Programs
BREAKFAST with ‘Friends ’ - Monthly - Call Dot Wells at 625-9441 to reserve your spot.
4th Wednesday of the month at 9:00. Friends will provide $5 toward your breakfast and tip.
(Limited to 40 seniors. Colrain COA will pick up checks for Colrain seniors.)
LUNCHEON with ‘Friends ’ - February 11 - Call Betty Lou Guilford at 369-4481 for further details.
'Friends' will provide $5 toward your lunch. Seating (at 1:00 p.m.) is limited to 30 seniors.
CANDLEPIN BOWLING FOR FUN - Weekly - Call Amy Herzig at 624-3417 to sign up.
Fridays from 2 to 4 at the Shelburne Falls Bowling Alley. Just pay $3 to bowl plus $2.50 shoe rental!
23rd WELLNESS MASSAGE PROGRAM - Ongoing - Call Dot Wells at 625-9441.
Schedule your one hour appointment with one of three LMT’s. Cost to senior: $30/$35.
10th PEDICURE PROGRAM - Ongoing - Call Dot Wells at 625-9441.
Offered by two Shelburne Falls salons. Cost to senior: $17 plus tip.

We are funded by your donations and run entirely by volunteers.
In our last fiscal year, 92.9% of our budget was spent on programming.
The Friends of West County Seniors, Inc. was founded in 1981 to serve as a
fund raising and friend raising organization to benefit and enrich the lives of seniors
in west county. Seniors who have vital social connections and regular social
activities to look forward to live happier, healthier, and more fulfilled lives.
